Pedestals & Plant Stakes for Self-Supporting Materials
(1/2” & thicker sign materials)

BEST-EXhibits pedestals are for sign materials which are 1/2″ and thicker and do not require the support or protection of our sign frames.  Pedestals are similar in appearance to Framed Exhibit Bases, but your sign attaches to a plate or angle which is welded to the post(s).  Pedestals will have at least four holes which match up to the inserts in the back side of the 1/2″ laminate and are sized to accept sign manufacturers supplied 1/4″ hardware. Templates of the hole alignment can be furnished to assure your sign and pedestal will match.  Plate sizes over 12”x12” consist of a 2-piece configuration, a post or sleeve with plate and the larger backer plate.  The backer plate is attached by the end user with supplied hardware to complete the Pedestal assembly. 

All mounting hardware for the panel itself is supplied by the panel manufacturer.

Plate with Sleeve

The Plate with Sleeve is a simple way to attach your sign to a customer-supplied treated 4×4 wood post. For larger signs you can use more than one Plate with Sleeve, or we can increase the plate size and add additional sleeves. Standard plate sizes are 6”x6”, 12”x12”, 12”x18” and 16”x20”.

Post Pedestal (Single, Double, Triple)

The Post Pedestal is the most common mount for ½” and thicker sign materials. For larger signs, you can use more than one Post Pedestal to make a Double or Triple Post Pedestal. Standard plate sizes are 6”x6”, 12”x12”, 12”x18” and 16”x20”. 

The Double, or Triple, Post Pedestal is used for mounting larger signs. Often the item is custom-sized based upon your sign manufacturer’s recommendations.

Vertical Post Pedestal

The Vertical Post Pedestal can be thought of like a stop sign. The 3×3 post has the mount plate welded flush to the face of the post and is offset slightly above the top of the post.  Standard plate sizes are 6”x6”, 12”x12”, 12”x18” and 16”x20”. 

Cantilever Pedestal

The Cantilever Pedestal is similar in appearance to the framed Cantilever Exhibit Base. Your sign attaches to the angles which are welded to the posts and is displayed between the posts. This pedestal is used with signs which are typically 18” to 24” high. Sign widths can vary.

Sled Base Pedestal

The Sled Base Pedestal is similar in appearance to the framed Sled Base Exhibit Base. Your sign attaches to the angles which are welded to the posts and is displayed between the posts. This pedestal is used with signs which are typically 18” to 24” high. Sign widths can vary.

Traditional Pedestal

The Traditional Pedestal is similar in appearance to the framed Traditional Exhibit Base. Your sign attaches to the angles which are welded to the posts and is displayed between the posts. This pedestal is used with signs which are typically 18” to 24” high. Sign widths can vary.

Upright Pedestal

The Upright Post Pedestal is used for mounting larger signs made from ½” and thicker sign materials. Often the item is custom-sized based upon your sign manufacturer’s recommendations. Your sign sits flush with the face of the post and attaches to the angle(s) which are welded to the post(s).

This pedestal most commonly comes as a double post pedestal, with single flag style, or single centered panel, options available.

Slotted Upright Pedestal

The Slotted Post Pedestal is used for mounting larger double sided signs made from ½” and thicker sign materials. Often the item is custom-sized based upon your sign manufacturer’s recommendations. Your sign sits on the centerline of the post and attaches to the angle brackets which are slide with the panel inside the post(s). A removable cap allows access to the panel.

This pedestal most commonly comes as a double post configuration, with a single flag style option available.

Portable Weighted Pedestal

Weighted Exhibit Base. Your sign attaches to the angles which are welded to the posts and is displayed between the posts. This pedestal is used with signs which are typically 18” to 24” high. Sign widths can vary.

Plant Stakes

Plant Stakes can be thought of like a mini post pedestal that is inserted in the ground.  They are constructed of 1×1 post with one pointed end and a mount plate welded to the other. Standard plate sizes are 2×4, 3×3, or 6×6, with standard lengths of 12, 24, or 36.
